About Equality Times

Law, research and public understanding.

A legal education, research and public awareness platform exploring the relationship between law, society, equality, technology and access to justice.

Making legal knowledge more accessible.

Equality Times is a legal education, research and public awareness platform exploring the relationship between law, society, equality, technology and access to justice.

The platform was created with a simple objective: to make legal knowledge more accessible beyond traditional classrooms and legal institutions, while encouraging deeper public understanding of important legal and constitutional issues.

Our work covers constitutional law, equality and human rights, criminal justice, technology and artificial intelligence, cyber law and digital rights, and other emerging legal issues.

Our Work

01

Legal Education

We make complex legal concepts, constitutional provisions, legislation and judicial decisions easier to understand through accessible legal explainers and educational resources.

02

Research & Legal Analysis

We publish research, legal analysis and research-based articles examining contemporary legal questions, drawing on legislation, judicial decisions, academic scholarship and other credible sources.

03

Law, Technology & AI

We examine emerging questions at the intersection of law and technology, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, privacy, digital rights, cybercrime and the regulation of emerging technologies.

04

Equality & Human Rights

We explore questions of equality, discrimination, dignity, liberty and human rights through legal and constitutional perspectives.

05

Public Legal Awareness

We develop accessible resources to help people better understand their rights, responsibilities and the institutions that shape the legal system.

Access beyond the classroom.

Equality Times is intended for law students, first-generation learners, educators and members of the wider public, with particular attention to people and communities that have historically faced barriers to legal education and access to legal information.

We believe that legal knowledge should be accessible not only to those already familiar with the legal system, but also to those encountering it for the first time.

Accuracy with accessibility.

We seek to combine legal accuracy, rigorous research and accessible communication.

Where appropriate, our work draws upon primary legal materials, including constitutional provisions, legislation and judicial decisions, alongside academic and institutional sources.

We aim to distinguish legal fact from analysis and opinion and to approach complex legal issues with intellectual openness and responsibility.

Where law, research, technology and public understanding meet.

To build a credible and accessible platform where law, research, technology and public understanding meet—contributing to a more informed engagement with rights, justice and the changing legal landscape.
